I was at a networking event and heard the story of jiminy wicket, you can read a bit about his story here http://jiminywicket.org/about-jiminy-wicket/. Also, I've heard some very scary statistics about the number of visits that seniors don't receive. I first went down the path of starting the senior olympics, turns out that is a thing already, so I pivoted to a board games championship instead. I feel this event provides a great opportunity for seniors to mix and mingle with different folks and keep that competitive spirit flowing. Any resident that lives in your community. Only one participant for each game. Example: You would have one resident participate in Checkers and another resident participate in Skip Bo.
No cost to your community or resident. However if your community would like to be a sponsor, please see our sponsorship page on this website.
May 6th, 2025 - The Franciscan Event Center located at 6553 S Revere Pkwy, Centennial, CO 80111. We will have 5 of the games in the morning and 5 in the afternoon so our seniors do not have to be there all day. The first game will start at 9:00 in the morning and we plan on having everything wrapped up by 4:00.
